One size fits all

Can one size fits all be a diversity problem solving ?

In the zeitgeist of body positive, some brands wove their new concept around ” One size fits all”. We choose to explore two of them : Ester Manas, a young french women’s wear designer and Chantelle, a very well known Lingerie brand.

ESTER MANAS

One size fits all was the pitch of Ester Manas, when she presented her work to Hyeres fashion festival in 2018 ! There, she won ” Gallerie Lafayette prize ” with her collection ” Big again” and her work got exhibited this spring in the windows of the famous Boulevard Haussman flagship.
After Hyeres’s competition, she managed a full wardrobe for Gallerie Lafayette, so recognizable by a big red belt pull to release system! Her brand DNA is a celebration of shapes and a tribute to all kind of bodies. ” I want to dress all women with the same idea and the same love … even if some body parts are shown I want that my customers feel proud and protected.”
Ester Manas is definitely an hearty designer.

CHANTELLE

In another category, for this summer the famous french lingerie and corsetry brand launched a new collection named ” Soft Strech”. This is a one size fits all & seamless lingerie and commodities line. By using the best fabrics and a new technology extremely strech and soft, Soft Stretch collection is offering a variety of bralette, bodies, tops, tanga, panties, shorties …

Moreover, last january Chantelle won “designer of the year ” prize during salon internationale de la lingerie in Paris ! Indeed, in addition to the new category of products Chantelle is going into, Renaud Cambuzat Chantelle’s global (clstudio, chantelle, passionata, Chantal Thomass) new creative director breathed life into the maison ! He used his sharp eye for photography to bring slight coolness and diversity to the new campaign (see below).
Looking forward to seeing their new collection at July next show !

Those 2 brands are examples showing that final fonction and anthropology evolution are more and more taking into account within designers and creatives work. Maybe shallow fashion is not so trendy anymore and nowadays all women’s fights are starting to open the market to all shapes of business, way of thinking and styles ?

Meanwhile, don’t forget to stretch your mind and see you at Interfilliere and Sil next Paris edition in July !
